Abbey Pattern 2018

This year’s Abbey Pattern will take place on Sunday 2nd September. The Pattern will begin with the Abbey Mass in St. Mary’s Augustinian Abbey starting proceedings at 1.30pm followed by the children’s races and all the other traditional activities taking place in the Friary Field around 2pm.

The Abbey Pattern is a long standing tradition in Ballyhaunis, being a Family based sports/fun day held on the feast day of St. Augustine and normally just before the new school term begins.

This year’s event will be a fun filled family day, with all the traditional sporting events taking place for the young and the not so young, with Athletics, the Dog show, Bouncy castles, Puppet show, Face painting, Novelty events and Basketball displays along with the other regular events. This year we will also have a sliotar race and the Taste of Ballyhaunis food event.

The committee is very grateful to all our sponsors and supporters want to acknowledge their contribution. We are calling on all of our regular volunteers to help out on the day. We would also like to invite any new people who are willing help to make contact with us (Tel. Stephen at 087-6168294).
